Helidream Helicopters Tenerife
...an Unforgettable Experience in the Skies

The experience with Helidream Helicopters will have to unfortunately wait few months more, as we couldn’t take a flight in our last visit to Tenerife early 2015. Nevertheless, since we always try to put our personal recommendation in our articles, we paid a visit to the area where Helidream is located, took some pictures of the installations and the equipment and talked a bit to the administrators of the company.

Booking Your Flight

Tenerife Travel Secrets

The experience is so amazing that even the great physicist and writer Stephen Hawking wanted to join Helidream...

At the Hangar of Helidream...

Initially you are received in their hangar, in the south of the island, and get a complimentary drink. You will then watch a safety video and how to behave inside the helicopter at all times.

The helicopter – equipment model Robinson R44 (February/2015) – capacity is for four people and the pilot.

Flight Options and Places to See with Helidream Helicopters

Aerial tours are divided by area and miles flown are what determine the price (prices listed below are per person):

  • 20 km - Costa del Sur (98 €): This is a scenic flight to the south and its most popular villages (Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje) and also the most unique (La Caleta, the "Puertito");
  • 30 km - Beaches and Canyons (145 €): you will fly over the fishing village of La Caleta, the nearby Golf Costa Adeje and later Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos. Then you start to enjoy the natural part of the journey in which Guaza Mountain will give way to Roque del Conde, Ifonche, their ravines, El Teide in the background, and Barranco del Infierno;
  • 50 km – Cliffs of Los Gigantes (€ 279): Helidream Helicopters flies over the whole coast from the fishing village of La Caleta to Playa San Juan, following up the cliffs of Los Gigantes that may have a height of 600 meters. The last destination before returning, is Las Canadas del Teide National Park, to enjoy the breathtaking views of the volcano;
  • 85 km - Isla Baja (€ 390): on this trip green landscapes from the north part of the island are combined with the coastal area of the south. You will fly over the south coast up to the marina of Los Gigantes, with nice views of the cliffs. Later you hit the town of Buenavista del Norte, where you can enjoy a great contrast of colors, and give way to Garachico and Icod where you can see from above the millenary Drago Tree. Eventually you will over Teide National Park;
  • 120 km - Gran Teide Luxury (495 €): pictures of this flight are the best, as you will be able to capture the beauty of the Las Canadas del Teide National Park from a completely privileged point of view. You will fly over the perimeter of the park, next to the forest, subsequently passing through La Orotava valley, Puerto de la Cruz, Vilaflor and finally the lava easily observable from Santiago del Teide. When you return to the starting point, a pleasant surprise will be waiting for you;
  • Other options, where it is necessary to request a quote, are to visit the Buenavista Golf from above, and transfers and private flights (1 hour for about € 1.900).

In any of the options above it is included insurance and transfer to and from the heliport.
